Senior Buyer (fmcg)

Controlling purchase order procedure
Ensuring service levels are maintained
Placing purchase orders.
Maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers and ensure effective reporting on supplier performance.
Strive for professional competence.
Ensuring competitive pricing and implementing cost savings.
Implementing, maintaining and adhering to purchasing systems, policies and procedures
Achieve and beat targeted Dry Goods Stock holding cover.
Continuous improvement on Business.
Compile Daily / Monthly procurement reports and ICC.
Leading the purchasing team .
The successful candidate must have the following experience / skills:
Computer Literate in SAP, MS Office Package
Experience in a Purchasing environment essential
Previous experience in production planning & scheduling.
Understand Production planning
Understand MRP & Purchasing Concepts
Planning, organising and controlling skills
Negotiating skills.
Be able to Multi-skill to perform functions
Be able to handle and manage conflict
Be Customer Focused.
Strong aptitude for figures and ability to analyse interpret and compute data.
A self- starter with the ability and willingness to work within a team.
Qualification required:
Purchasing National Diploma and or equivalent qualification.
