Wealth Manager

Experience:

  • High net worth client interaction (Essential)
  • Investment Funds, Collective Investment Schemes (CIS), JSE, equities and other investment class experience (Desirable)
  • Private Banking /Wealth Management experience
 

Education:

  • BCom or similar finance / wealth / investment management related qualification.
  • 3-5 years\' experience as a client wealth manager / financial advisor / planner / private banker
  • Experience in investment advisory and financial planning.
  • Sound financial acumen and customer service excellence.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Building of a wealth management book of clients by meetings and leveraging off partnered distribution relationships.
  • Constant monitoring and follow up of new business implementation process to ensure a seamless and smooth client acquisition.
  • Consulting with various stakeholders including but not limited to the following individuals:
  • Portfolio managers
  • Product suppliers
  • Administrative staff
  • Drafting of investment proposals and investment reports.
  • Compiling, updating of weekly, monthly and/or quarterly investment feedback reports for selected clients and all partners.
  • Constant maintenance and analysis of the investment book.
  • Updating of internal weekly pipeline reports on POS
  • Compiling and updating of portfolio asset allocation spreadsheets.
  • A minimum bi-monthly partner update
  • Ongoing communication and engagement with the partners
  • Working closely with the Wealth Managers in the team, assisting, advising and working together to build the business.
 

Job Knowledge:

  • Clear understanding of the financial services, including investments and industry.
  • Clear understanding of administration of financial services, products & investment platforms.
  • An understanding of FAIS and subordinate legislation, FICA & PoPIA
