Project Planner

As the Project Planner, you will support the Service management to plan, coordinate and monitor Field Service projects in an efficient and effective manner, through project planning and administrative support responsibilities.

DUTIES,

RESPONSIBILITIES: & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support supervisors to plan, coordinate and monitor projects in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Create and track Vendor purchase orders for parts, tools and services for internal and customer requirements.
  • Track customer quotations, purchase orders, project cost and variation orders as required through the duration of projects.
  • Provide current status reporting on ongoing and future service projects. 
  • Assist the Service department with administrative duties.
  • Raise any potential issues that may affect departmental operating profits.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve department processes.
  • Documentation control.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • National Diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience working in a similar role.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
  • Instilled with a strong sense of customer focus (internal/external).
  • Consistently adhere to ethical principles and expects others to follow suit.
  • A candid team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems.
  • Can be counted on to take personal responsibility in challenging situations and be willing to engage in disputes in order to settle them equitably.
  • Methodical approach and a high attention to detail.
  • Able to apportion time effectively to complete tasks.
