Senior Technical Sales Representative

Sales and or Marketing Qualification / Business Administration or similar.

Minimum of 7 years sales experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service and sales.

Construction and concrete industry experience is essential including product knowledge of Batching Plants, Truck Mixers and Pumps.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Duties

Daily customer visits throughout South Africa

Sales to neighboring countries

Site visits and evaluation of job sites in order to propose correct equipment

Negotiate sales of concrete equipment

Network and builds new business relationships and follow through to project delivery and aftersales

Meeting regularly with HOD to discuss and monitor forecasts, budgets, potential sales and customer related issues

Configuring equipment for offers

Liaises with business partners / sub-contractors

Prepares weekly call reports and prospect reports.

Report to management, as soon as a problem, customer concern is raised

Regular visits to the factories for product updates

Assists factories with product information, market intelligence and competitor analysis

Complies with legislative, regulatory and authority requirements

Networks with existing and potential customers and business partners to drive growth in the division

Prepares sales forecasts and targets based on current market trends

Liaises with factories and Sales Admin, Workshop and Technical Product Support teams in order to ensure customer satisfaction, the management of product quality and efficient service delivery

Develops business plans, budgets and targets
