Management Accountant

Minimum requirements:

  • BCom or relevant tertiary education.
  • Management Accounting qualification and career path is essential.
  • Computer literacy with a high degree of proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Min 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Good computer literacy, experience in Qlikview or NAV preferred,
  • Administrative skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of key business processes and practices.
  • Demonstrates influencing skills.
  • Accurate with strong attention to detail.
  • Methodical and meticulous.
  • Responsive and energetic.
  • Ability to function independently and under pressure.
  • Ability to filter information and assess priorities.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • General ledger provision reconciliations.
  • Ensure that all the recons are completed on time, and accurately and that all reconciling items are cleared timeously.
  • Prepare journals and ensure that all journals are accurate.
  • Prepare monthly sales pack reports.
  • Compiling various sales reports for the various markets/divisions as required.
  • Compile and distribute monthly cost centre expense reports.
  • Obtain information from the system, format reports, and distribute.
  • Review and maintain selling expense cost rate tables.
  • Ensure cost rate tables are aligned with actual selling expenses.
  • Prepare the Consolidated Fixed and Variable Operating Expense report for monthly and board pack.
  • Prepare Factory Shops income statements.
  • Monthly Management, Quarterly Board, and Budget Pack.
  • Adhoc reports and analysis.
  • Open communication, liaising with Management.
  • Ensure accuracy of work.
  • Manage filing system.
