JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Job Title:                    Product Owner

Duration:                    6 Month Contract - with either an extension or the opportunity to go into a permanent role

Work Location:          Johannesburg West

DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIES: :

  • Convert User Stories and Design requirements into detailed dev ready features with the squad.
  • Review tech details (architectural design & tech solution) to ensure understanding of impact to squad and alignment to requirements.
  • SM and tech teams provide HLE and PO assesses to decide on prioritization.
  • Ensure that testing requirements and error handling is complete and aligned with requirements.
  • Prioritize team backlog including incidents and business prioritized features.
  • PL Squad alignment on the PI goals and committed objectives.
  • Provide the required sign-offs on the SIT/UAT/PROD testing.
  • Build and maintain Product backlog with inputs from Product Management team.
  • Prioritise product backlog based on Product roadmap and overall strategy of PL across different channels to enable business value.
  • Manage and track dependencies with the development teams as well as external dependencies from other teams and deliverables.
  • Key role in PI planning with business and development team. Contribute to the roadmap and update product backlog accordingly in preparation and during PI planning.

BACKGROUNG AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 5-6 years’ experience in Product Owner or Business Analysis role.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in managing third-party/outsourced vendors development teams.
  • System and technical solution experience/knowledge.
  • Digital channel and product management experience.
  • Bachelor Honours degree in Business/Information Technology.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Manager Certification.

MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in SAFe and Agile teams.

PACKAGE & REMUNERATION:

  • Will be agreed based on qualifications, applicable banking experience and previous earnings.
