Workforce Equity And Skills Development Administrator

Job Purpose:

Ensuring adherence to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) regulations regarding skills and administer the various facets of training and development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Skills and Employment Equity Compliance and HR Regulatory Administration

  • Preparation of Employment Equity plans and maintenance and submission of annual Employment Equity Reports.
  • Design, implementation and submission of WSP/ATR
  • Preparation and submission of Discretionary Grant Funding applications to the relevant SETA and tracking of the entire process to secure awarded funds.
  • Recovery of Mandatory and Discretionary Grant funding
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to monitor compliance with BBEEE requirements.
  • Preparation, maintenance and submission of related BBEEE reports within required deadlines.
  • Co-ordination with external auditors during the BBEEE verification processes.
Training and Skills Development

  • Sourcing and assisting in evaluation of external training providers and management of relationships.
  • Manage learnership programmes together with external training providers.

  • Facilitate the bursary application process and administration and track awards against allocated skills budget.
  • Consolidation and reporting on internal training plans provided by departmental managers.
  • Maintaining training records, tracking training progress, and providing reports to management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Acts and BBEEE legislation, regulations, and scorecard requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications and learning management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Prior experience working with SETA’s and other regulatory agencies preferred.
  • Prior experience in BBBEE compliance, OSQF accreditation Policies and/or related areas is preferred.
