As the Bookkeeping you will be responsible for the below:

  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, GL analysis, and journal entries.
  • Handle payment requisitions and releases.
  • Manage loan schedules, ensuring timely payments.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks with attention to detail.
  • Assist in implementation and installment sales.
  • Maintain and reconcile installment sale amortization schedules, liaise with banks and plant departments, and handle new deals and queries.
  • Coordinate monthly journal entries for interest and reconcile ledger with workings.
  • Collaborate with cashbook for accurate cost allocation.
  • Review salary ledgers, resolve discrepancies, and manage payment requisitions.
  • Handle month-end invoicing with the debtor’s department. Collaborate on month-end payments and liaise with operators.
  • Assist in the year-end audit and perform ad-hoc tasks (BEE certificate, insurance, co-sec departments). Ensure accuracy of guarantees schedule by liaising with financial managers and banks.
  • He group accountants during the audit.
  • Review related party balances and transactions.
  • Summarize financial information for calculations and disclosure in annual financial statements for subsidiary companies.
  • Support the integrated report compilation by managing the report template and coordinating information flow from content owners.
  • Assist with social events and handle ad-hoc administrative duties for the group reporting department. Contribute to IT development related to IFRS, Excel, ECL dashboards, leases calculations, and provision summaries.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint is valuable.
Job Experience and Skills Required:

Completed Bcom or Diploma in Accounting and related field.

3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in finance.
