General Manager

My client requires an experienced General Manager to lead and oversee the development and management of a Lodge .
The ideal candidate would have relevant experience and the ability to lead a team of managers and staff while building a sustainable reserve with successful ecotourism and game income lines.
This position will also ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the Lodge strategy.
Present a budget for board approval and prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines·
Key Knowledge and Skills·
Excellent project and time management skills ·
Good financial skills·
Proven track record .
Strong knowledge of business and management principles· Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Excellence in execution: local budget and cost control and driving for results·
A sufficient understanding of legal and corporate governance matters to take on the necessary fiduciary responsibilities.
Problem-solving skills.
Experience in the hospitality and tourism industry .

Requirements:
5 + years in senior management position
Degree.
