External Sales Representative

Our client is looking for an External Sales Representative for one of its divisions, candidate will be responsible for servicing existing customers as well as souring new clients. The Sales Representative will focus on the selling and hiring of the divisions equipment.

Requirements:



  • Matric Certificate

  • 3-4 years’ experience in a sales environment

  • Forklift Industry experience is mandatory

  • Valid South African Driver’s Licence

  • Own reliable Car

Key Accountabilities:



  • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers.

  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential client’s business needs.

  • Create quotations for customers based on recent pricing schedules

  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports and weekly work plans

  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, current products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

  • Recommend changes in pricing of products relative to competitors.

  • Resolves customer’s sales or rental queries’ by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management.

  • Create, monitor and maintain a customer database of all current and potential customers

  • Source potential clients and conduct visits to the client’s premise.

  • Communicate in a friendly way to customers and potential customers, listening to their needs and helping connect options for them.  (Perform cost benefit and needs analysis.) 



  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships. 

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.

  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity. 

  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services. 

  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.

  • Present and promote products.
