• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience;
• Completed articles will be a recommendation;
• Valid drivers’ license and willingness to travel between different branches.

• Knowledge and experience of Pastel or any relevant computer systems will count in the applicant's favour;
• Computer literacy - Preferably on an advanced level;
• Application of correct accounting standards, principles and procedures;
• Knowledge and understanding of legal and statutory changes regarding area of responsibility;
• Auditing knowledge and experience;
• Industry knowledge.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Conducting all transactions related to general ledger and bank reconciliations;
• Follow-up of problems and ensure that corrective actions have been taken;
• Checking and processing of daily payments;
• Preparation and drafting of a budget;
• Correctness and timeliness of monthly closures (journals, ledger codes, internal codes and interest on stock);
• Check and process journals to the ledger;
• Receiving and checking petty cash transactions and ensure that it has been done in terms of standard operating procedures;
• Maintenance of the asset register;
• Assist with the preparation of the year-end audit;
• Delivering a support function to members of Management regarding investigation and / or implementation of new business opportunities and BEE projects through the preparation, setup and implementation of:
o New business projections and budgets
o Financial and administrative systems
o Control and risk management systems
Key Performance Areas
• External Audit Report;
• Accuracy of monthly reports;
• Timeliness of monthly reports;
• Monthly feedback to the Executive Board;
• Correction of deviations (According to journal entries);
• Report and provide feedback according to agreed dates;
• Effective co-ordination and timeous completion of budgets against deadlines.
