Qualification



  • Formal qualification as Fitter / Fitter & Turner, Toolmaker similar trade will be advantageous or a qualification as a CNC programmer / Manual


Requirements



  • At least 3 years’ experience in CNC programming and operation of lathe / milling centers / vertical lathes.

  • Operation of manual milling / journal grinding / and similar machines – will be required to operate multiple machines.

  • Experience in manufacturing or similar industry will be advantageous.

  • Technical and operative knowledge is required in metallurgy and the management of a machining plant and related technologies

  • Experience in sales/business management and MS Office/Outlook, SAP advantage

  • Experience in die sets and tool steel environment


Duties



  • Managing operational aspects (planning, direction, review)

  • Coordination and cooperation with National Steel Sales Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and all Operational Managers (price policy, re-ordering, stock holding, product, and sales development)

  • Sales results, administrative efficiency, technical support, high productivity and production standards, high quality products (personnel, financial, administrative matters)

  • Where applicable the Employee’ functions and work will include but not be limited to.

  • Maintain proper maintenance of machine, equipment and facilities and keep in proper condition.

  • Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences.

  • Applying knowledge of shop mathematics.

  • Training and teaching others.

  • Constantly promote and maintain awareness and compliance of environmental, health and safety in accordance with best practice and legal requirements

  • Practice good housekeeping principles to ensure clean and orderly work area, comply with 5’s and Lean management

  • Comply with quality requirements as determined by the company to ensure minimum product quality standards are upheld

  • Other ad-hoc responsibilities as determined by supervisor/ management
