This is an exciting time to join a dynamic team and an opportunity for someone with a Finance related background to support Senior Management with ensuring overall financial efficiencies within the business.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Company finances are accurately managed, executed and reported on.

  • Financial risks are identified, and processes put in place to mitigate these risks

  • Financial performance of the Company is accurately measured and opportunities for improvement are identified and implemented, as agreed with Management

  • Financial policies and procedures are developed, implemented, and accurately monitored

  • Budgets are accurately projected, developed and managed in collaboration with the Management Team

  • CEO and Management Team receive all necessary financial reporting required in a timeous manner

  • Insight is provided to Management on the profitability performance of the various projects currently run by the company against expectations, and analysis on underlying reasons for significant variances incurred is conducted and solutions proposed for addressing the variances

  • The financial compliance obligations of the company and annual audit process are efficiently managed and reported on

  • Financial information is accurately and timeously captured

  • Problem solving techniques are effectively utilised when challenges arise regarding workflow (processes) and systems

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and financial skills are displayed, and assistance is provided to team members where necessary

  • Working relationships are established with suppliers and vendors to ensure optimal terms and credit facilities in favour of the Company


Minimum

Requirements:

:



  • B Com. or relevant Finance degree

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience

  • Excel, Word, Email, Accounting Software; FNB Payment Systems; Xero

  • Must have a passion for the Cash Conversion Cycle and must enjoy collections and cashflow analysis and planning

  • Fluent in English

  • Practical business understanding from a financial perspective

  • Understanding of financial management concepts and the execution thereof

  • Ability to work in teams

  • Strong and practical experience in operational finance work

  • Strong exposure to and skills relating to Final Accounts, Collections, Payroll Management and Customer Centred Financial Management

  • Experience in working in an operational environment while applying financial controls and suggesting improvements to enhance profitability & visibility as well as managing risks
