Human Resource Administrator - Cape Town

Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

Recruitment and Selection



  • Administering the full administrative process, preparing job adverts, advertising on various portals, shortlists, arranging interviews, conduct employee checks and references and feedback


Payroll and Benefits



  • Collecting and ensuring accuracy of employee information for payroll purposes and filing and responsible for employee files. Liaising with third party service providers on all employee benefit processing and claims. Payroll support by preparing and collecting documents relating to payroll input.


Learning & Development



  • Sourcing, booking and arranging training as well as maintaining all training records, registers, invoices and certificates. Includes liaising with employees to ensure a smooth process.


Administrative Processes



  • Ensure all administrative processes relating to employment are in line with business practices by ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information


Onboarding and Offboarding of employees



  • Collecting and filing all the required documents to ensure a smooth process, from prepping induction packs and new employee documents to exit interviews and return of company property


Organise and Maintain employee records electronically



  • Loading new employees, loading and managing data, updating any changes for existing employees into the HR system


Employee Relations and Compliance



  • Assisting with preparation for hearings, bundles and documents as well as ensuring requirements are in place for DOL inspections


Prepare various HR documents



  • Assist with compiling required documents, letters, packs and all related requirements


Audits



  • Source, provide and upload documents during audits such as BEE


Employee Queries and Requests



  • Liaise with and assist employees with HR related requests


Administrative support and ad hoc projects



  • Assist with arranging socials, employee wellness and HR projects


Qualifications & Experience:



  • HR Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR Administrator role

  • Proven experience in HR Administration

  • Strong organising skills and ability to prioritise

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks

  • Good communication skills

  • Excellent administration skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and good time management

  • Computer literate proficient in MS Office (MS Excel intermediary level)
