Production Planner

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities of the position include but is not

limited to:

- Check planning on all checks performed in the

Safair hanger;

- Control the costing of all checks;

- Ensure that work packs are correct;

- Ensure that man hours are correct on work

packs (estimates and actuals); and perform

calculation of Manpower Required;

- Ensure that scheduled spares and tools for

checks are correct and available on time;

- Provide daily detailed information and charts

on checks progress;

- Conduct post mortem meetings to

continuously improve check processes and

economics;

- Recommend AMS adjustments working with

Engineering and Planning;

- Co-ordinate for Major Module availability

with production and logistics.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent;

- Aircraft trade will be an advantage;

- Must have 8 years’ experience in

aircraft production planning or

maintenance environment;

- Management skill essential;

- Must be able to administrate finances

of a check;

- Must be willing to travel at short

notice and extended period;

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft

Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
