Dtc Manager

Direct to consumer

  • Develop and implement a Strategy to align all stores and ecommerce behind a clear purpose to ensure a consistent customer experience in line with the regional and global directives.
  • Ensure GTM calendar is aligned across all DTC sales channels and covers all commercial events. In conjunction with VM and Marketing Team, ensure all commerce activations are executed in line with brand guidelines.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (Merchandising, IT, Retail, Marketing, Finance) – as well as external partners (media agency, marketplace partners…) to deliver best-in-class customer experience in line with the global brand vision.
  • Develop customer understanding, engagement and branding in line with Corporate guidelines and strategy
  • Facilitate effective engagement between store and HQ teams, including meeting set up across various stakeholders when needed
  • Partner with Merchandising to improve in-stock and range in line with developing consumer profile and brand strategies Develop promotion strategy and ensure timeous on-site implementation
  • Analysis, reporting and ongoing cost review and adjustment thereof(service providers, best cost review, scale across brands) in relation to performance KPIs
  • Liase weekly with Customer Service Team to ensure positive sentiment of end consumers
 

People Management

  • Ensure role clarify and effective goal-setting for the DTC Team through the perspective channels
  • Build and encourage a culture of learning and development to ensure well-trained, customer oriented employees
  • Final sign off on all new recruitment for staff and staff movements
 

Sales & Reporting

  • Analyse daily sales reports and take necessary action to improve the business
  • Work closely with Brand Manager to analyse KPI performance and build/adapt the DTC strategy accordingly
  • Manage financial performance parameters
  • Annual budget creation with finance team
  • Drive revenue, quantity and margin targets
  • Own and report on P&L of all stores and ecommerce
 

New Retail Stores

  • Together with Area Managers identify possible store opportunities
  • Manage all new store justification to regional
  • Develop lookbook for Retail to present to possible new centres.
  • Manage store lease schedule and contracts
 

Marketing

  • Develop Customer Relationship Management
  • Work with marketing team to create, implement and manage all regional event related initiatives
Qualification

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification
Experience

  • 3-5 years relevant experience (min 2 years managerial experience)
  • Experience in the Apparel, Footwear, Accessories retail industry
  • Technically strong with good IT ability - including a good working knowledge of Microsoft suite, highly proficient in excel
  • Knowledge of an ERP system
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience in SA retail environment
 

Critical Competencies

  • Excellent relationship management skills - proven experience of bulding internal & external relationships, through strong interpersonal and team working skills. Capacity to collaborate, integrate & facilitat teamwork (ability to network, build and sustain stakeholder relationships is critical)
  • Own transport and valid driver\'s license essential
  • Ability to travel (Locally and Internationally)
