External Sales Representative

Duties:

  • Meet set sales targets
  • Customer account management
  • Service existing clients in the designated sales area
  • Develop and grow business in the designated sales area
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships in the designated sales area
  • Customer data base management – CRM & SAP
  • Responsible for cost management by reducing credits
  • Responsible for hotline standby on rotational basis
  • Process accurate sales quotations
  • Provide accurate market and opposition feedback to the sales manager
  • Take part in marketing events – Sales Functions, Expo’s etc.
  • Adhere to company policies as set out by management
  • Manage and maintain company resources – Vehicles, Tools and equipment issued, Electronics
  • Provide accurate solutions to customer enquiries by utilizing systems provided – SAP/CRM,
  • Submit accurate monthly call reports
  • Submit monthly sales forecasts
  • Uphold the company brand and ethics with professional conduct at all times
  • Annual sales presentations to management to provide sales area feedback
  • Carry out tasks as set out by sales manager or his superiors

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in internal sales or similar position
  • Mechanical or electrical trade test – advantageous
  • Hands on experience – Technical field – advantageous
  • People skills – Maintain and develop customer relationships
  • Self-dependent and efficient in overall work ethic
  • Product specific experience – Electronic variable speed drives, industrial electrical motors, industrial mechanical gearboxes – advantageous.
  • Computer literacy in MS office is essential
  • Sales & marketing presentation experience essential
