Senior Buyer

Job Description:

 

  • Carry out the defined sourcing strategy (e.g., category analysis, negotiation, selection & contracting).
  • Understand business requirements and develop a strategic procurement plan for assigned spend with guidance from the GM: Supply Chain.
  • Analyze the category spend, supply market and utilize the cost models created by the GM: Finance.
  • Conduct the clients RFI/Q processes and support in negotiations with suppliers, business stakeholders and internal clients to select suppliers and draft suitable contracts with service/delivery agreements.
  • Compile procurement motivations for approval of RFI/Q awards ensuring compliance with client procurement policy and procedures.

  • Academic – Analytical skill, Operations management skill, Commercial acumen, Project Management, Problem solving, relevant 3-year tertiary qualification
