Plant Financial Manager

Duties:

  • Manage month end closing activates relating to plant finance.
  • Report plant financial status reports according to company policy in the regular basis.
  • Responsible for plant all financial activities control.
  • Budgeting exercise: Responsible for developing the plant budget with details.
  • Review actual against budget and identify variance for discussion with plant managers.
  • Inventory Analysis: Inventory aging analysis, monitor cycle count process, approval of scrap, review control over inventory movement and destruction, making entries for inventory reserve as per approval.
  • Product Costing: Calculate cost of the product (material/overhead) and provide to management on an as needed basis, yield variance analysis.
  • Audits: Support both external and internal audits.
  • Efficiency project tracking: Work with plant staff and management to identify efficiency project and track the progress.
  • Support Manufacturing, Quality and other site functions for plant finance/analysis projects and deliverables.
  • Production volume and cost per units: Review and analyse cause and impact, escalate to the attention of management.
  • Work with general accounting team for obtaining the actuals.
  • Follow and establish ERP system and improve business process in plant finance. HR005B-2016
  • Provide administration and supervision of the plant accounting function as directed.
  • Perform or manages monthly accounting close and communicates results to plant operations team and the finance team.
  • Perform or manages financial reconciliation and inventory processes.
  • Monitor adherence to internal control policies for all plant functions.
  • Analyses spending trends to identify and track cost cutting measures.
  • Participate in the development, documentation, and implementation of standard work processes.
  • Maintains and ensures data integrity in the ERP system through proper item set-up, manufacturing accounting review and issue resolution.
  • Participate and assists with physical inventories and reconciliation.
  • Training and supervising financial staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BCOM in Accounting, Costing Management Degree.
  • Must be part of professional body, CA preferable.
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a financial manager within the manufacturing Environment.
  • SAP System literacy essential.

  • Must have the ability to navigate office or plant floor working environments.
  • Must have the ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment utilized at the site, including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses/goggles, and safety shoes.
