Credit Controller (debtors)

Duties:

  • Manage and control the Debtors process
  • Collection of outstanding money on the debtors book
  • Phoning and updating customer notes on IT system
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts as needed
  • Reconciliation of all control accounts
  • Preparation of credit and debit notes
  • Preparation of journals
  • Credit vetting according to company policy
  • Follow up on account queries
  • Inter branch reconciliations and confirmations
  • Import CATS and great plains debit order files
  • Daily processing of new and cancelled debit orders
  • Daily printing and coding of eft’s from CATS (Standard bank)

Requirements:

  • Matric or grade 12
  • Certificate / Diploma in credit management or equivalent experience
  • Comply with O.C.H.S.A.
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a credit management position
  • Admin skills

    - Basic Understanding of debtors

    - Excellent communication skills

    - Computer literate

    - Knowledge of the national credit acts

  • Advantageous if you have worked on Great Plains
